ruby-file-tail software package provides Ruby library for following still-growing files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-file-tail
ruby-file-tail is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-file-tail package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-file-tail *
You will get with ruby-file-tail package name, version, architecture and description in a table
